Introduction

1) Carbs makes you fat

Not only carbs but any food can cause weight gain if you overheat.
The dietary guidelines recommend that carbohydrate provides 45 to 65% of your per day calorie intake. That is if you take 2000 calories per day then between 900 to 1300 calories should be taken from carbohydrates.

2) Fat is dangerous

Fat is either saturated or unsaturated fats. If you eat too much saturated fat it is not good for health as it can cause heart’s and blood vessels problems.
The dietary intake for fat in adult is 20 to 35% of total calories. That if you eat 2000 calories per day then amount amount of fat should be in between 44 to 77 grams.

3) Fruits makes you fat

Fruits contains higher in water and fibre and lower in calories as compared to another food as it less likely to cause weight gain or prevent weight loss.
The recommendations for fruit and vegetables intake is to 400 grams per day.

4) Eating at night is fat

According to study nighttime eaters make poorer food choice and take more calories which may lead to weight gain. But you won’t gain weight if you eat within your daily calories need.

Eating at late night may prompt weight gain and also increases the blood sugar level.

5) You don’t need a calorie deficit as long as you cut carbs

 An average adult man need 2500 calories per day from all the sources including carbs but in case if you don’t eat carbs then you need to recover the deficit from another sources.

6) Keto is the best diet for everyone

Ketogenic diet contains high fat and low carbohydrate diet. It may lead to ketosis ( metabolic state)  So this diet is not best for everyone.

Fish,shellfish,cheese,avocados,eggs,meat and poultry,coconut oil etc..

7) Insulin don’t makes you fat

Insulin plays a role in regulating blood sugar level. It converts food energy into fat. The therapy of insulin may cause a person to weight gain. In between digestion insulin promotes muscle,liver and fat cells to absorb glucose .

8) There is no food that can boost your metabolism.

 There are some sources that can boost your metabolism.
 Legumes and pulses
 Iron,zinc and selenium rich food
 Protein rich foods- meat,fish,eggs,dairy,nuts and seeds.
 Chili peppers
 Coffee and green tea
 Cacao and cocoa may also increase your metabolism.

This is all about the myth that many people don’t know.
