Introduction

HEALTHY DIET:

A healthy diet is a diet which helps us to maintain or to improve overall health. A healthy diet contains essential nutrition like: fluid,calories,macronutrients and micronutrients which provides to the body.

Healthy diet is not a complicated diet it is a very simple diet and contains mostly fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Healthy diet can be taken from a variety of animals and plant based food.

Animal based food:

Meat, milk, egg, fish, pork, beef, chicken, sea food (crab, oysters, lobsters ), cheese, and yogurt

Plant based food:

  • Fruits – apples, mangoes, oranges, banana, guava, grapes, watermelon
  • Root – potato, carrot, radish, turnip, beet root
  • Seeds – maize, nuts, wheat, rice, almonds
  • Leaves – spinach, coriander, lettuce, kale, cabbage

Nutrients is a substance that is needed to all living thing to stay alive and help it to grow.

1) dietary fibre found in vegetables helps in reducing cholesterol level and lower the risk of heart disease. Fibre is needed for the proper bowel function and helps to reduce constipation.

Unhealthy diet:

Unhealthy diet is a major risk factor of chronic disease like cancer, diabetes. Poor diet also includes under or over eating.
